Shiraz is the capital of the Fars province and the cultural capital ofIran. The cradle Of Iran's civilization. Shiraz is located at the center of the ancient land of Pars near several ancient places like Persepolis, Naghshe rostam , Passargad , Bishapoor City , and temples and ancient Fire temples and various natural attractions like the Margoon Falls , the Lost paradise (Beheshte gomshode ), Parishan lake , Bakhtegan lake.

The objects relics and historical containers and coins in the metropolitan museum in NewYork testify the greatness and splend our of Shiraz's in the Solouki , Ashkani , and Sassanid periods . During the excavations in the AbouNasr palace , it was known that this building dates back to the end of the Ashkani period or the beginning of the sassanid periods . several stamps and beads have also been found on which there are the name "Ardshir" and "Shiraz ".


According to mythical narrations, shiraz was built by the son of Tahmoures , the second Pishdadi king . In 281(A.H) Ameroleith , the second Saffarie king built a cathedral mosque . During the safari period the popularity and flourishing of shiraz increased to a large extent-Karim-khan-e-Zand made shiraz the capital and reconstructed the city .
